This is one of the beautiful cotton indigo resist-dyed blankets. They are originally bleached old vintage fine-stitch Kantha quilts with increadably fine thread work to the Kantha stitching. They are then hand stamped with a natural resistance, then they are dipped in natural Indigo dyes and allowed to dry. Therefore the pattern resists the dye and creates these amazing individual patterns. The process is so that each one is individual and unique. There may be patches and wear dye the old nature of the blankets.
They are all double sided and this one measures approx 217cm by 138cm.
As with newly dyed jeans, there may be some transference of the dye to light coloured fabrics initially, if they are moved and rubbed, ie on a white sofa. They are full machine washable. Wash seperately.
